About Us

America is failing its children when it comes to education. This is evidenced by the fact that over 30% of students drop out of high school each year. This is not just a problem for parents, teachers and schools… this is a problem for society and the nation as a whole! In spite of the statistics, we can do something about it!

The Community Learning Center is a non-profit tutoring organization that was founded in 1998 with the simple but powerful idea that active, informed and trained citizens working closely with local schools and classroom teachers, can effect change.

The Community Learning Center provides academic support to everyone, children and adults, regardless of income level. Additionally, the staff and board of the Center are passionate about being part of the educational dialogue on a policy level. We share our vast experience working with students of all ages and achievement levels with the purpose of bringing about educational reform to benefit all students.

In fall of 2013, we moved into our new 7,200 square-foot facility located at 1411 N Fort Harrison Avenue in Clearwater, Florida where we can serve more students and host large events and programs.
